remove color in selection area

I recently started using an 2022 LT version. Is there any way to turn off the color in the selection area?

In Options > Selection (Tab) > Preview "Visual Effect Setting" uncheck "Indicate selection Area.

That is what I previously did on my PC. With the MAC / OS these tabs are missing.

Is there any comand for this?

WINDOWAREACOLOR and CROSSINGAREACOLOR are the variable names, HELP should explain usage.
