I know where that menu item is, i want to remove it as a security issue so others can't see my history if they happen to be at my desk.

So you want to remove this menu item completely?
Do you know that in macOS if you will use Mission Control (application windows) you can see recent files opened in the application?
The same info about recent files you can get from context menu in Dock.
So even if you will remove recents menu in AutoCAD you can not hide all recent drawings that were opened in AutoCAD.

One of many posts on the web, you need to start there: here is one of them https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-best-way-to-delete-a-recently-opened-file-history-on-a-Mac

Following up on your thread, it appears that several folks have tried to help on this issue. Were you able to find a solution? Or a workaround? Did any of the posts in the thread help with your issue?

Please post back in the thread if you are still having an issue with AutoCAD or Select Accept as Solution for the post’s that helped.

Thanks for your time
