Properties Inspector - 'ByLayer' Linetype Preview Doesn't Refresh

While looking into another post here about linetypes, I noticed that the linetype preview on the properties inspector doesn't refresh when selecting objects of differing linetypes. Attached is a test drawing using 4 different linetypes on 4 layers named reflecting their type.

As shown in the screenshots, it is possible to select a line and have it shown correctly, however selecting another line of a different type maintains the same preview. It is only updated when the dropdown box is selected, then it is refreshed.

This small preview should be updating to reflect the linetype used.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the file. Did you try to check the value for LTSCALE and set it to 1 and see whether the line type shows wrongly. I couldn't able to reproduce it in my AutoCAD 2016.

Also, you could try to reset your AutoCAD to defaults and see whether the problem persists.

Hi,

You are correct, looks like it is a defect (bug) in AutoCAD for Mac.
@Vinod Balasubramanian, the bug is reproducible in AutoCAD 2016 for Mac on my side.

Thanks Max and Wei. It's my fault. I tested on Windows and forgot it was a Mac issue. I can confirm too.

Wei, will you be updating the thread. Can you also pass me the defect details to my email. I will create an article for this in our knowledge base.
