I have an issue with the transparecy. When i insert a png image and put on it some transparecy (50%), the transparecy appears in the model and layout, but when i go to plot, i tick the plot trasparecy box in page setup, but when i save pdf the image has 0 transparecy. If anyone can help me! (excuse me if my english is not perfect (from spain)) Thanks!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Just tested this and transparency appears in PDF on my side.
Do you edit page setup (add "Print with transparency" option) via Page setup manager or via Print window?
How you export to PDF? Do you use "Save as PDF" from Print dialog or you use menu Export?

Sorry, I cannot reproduce the issue on my side:

Can you attach your drawing (or part of it) with PNG file here? I'll try to figure out the problem.

I can reproduce this. It's seems to be caused by a PNG that already has transparency or an alpha channel (transparent background). If the image object has the "background transparency" flag ticked, layer or object transparency is being ignored in the plot.

In my view this seems to be a bug as it isn't plotting the way it is displayed within AutoCAD. I'll have to check how it behaves in Windows.

As for a way around it, not sure...

Don't worry! I downloaded autocad for windows in parallels and it works perfectly. Thanks for your answers!
