Printing to PDF no longer works properly after downloading 2020 cad lt

When I print to PDF, the file does. not show all of my text and replaces it with random numbers and letters.    Most of the sheet is fine. But it is the title block that is getting affected.  It is almost like it cant find my text style.   I downloaded literally last night, and could not print this morning correctly.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Nicole,

Do you use the same font for all text objects in the title block?
Or the text printed incorrectly was created with different font?
If yes, then what font you are using for that incorrectly "printed" text?

Arial works within the titleblock, but Raleway does not.  I tried copying the font into some systems locations... but nothing worked.

Where did you get Raleway font?
Can you show how it looks in Text Style window?
I'm asking, because I tried Google Raleway font and it behaves in a strange way in AutoCAD regarding to variants - regular, bold, italic.
Anyway, I tried to save to PDF with this "incorrect" font and cannot see the issue you have on your side.
Can you also attach your title block here?

Update.
After I removed all Raleway font variations except Raleway-Regular.ttf, Raleway-Bold.ttf, Raleway-Italic.ttf, Raleway-BoldItalic.ttf from fonts installed on my Mac, it began to work normally in AutoCAD.
I also tested saving to PDF with "AutoCAD PDF (General documentation).pc3" plotter and don't see any issues with Raleway font on my side.

I have been on phone with autodesk twice... and they cant figure this out.  i sent them my file, my raleway font, and they can get it to work on their computers.   Why would changing from 2017 to 2020 have made this such a problem?  I have tried new Styles, copying font to font paths in the folders.  Raleway works and prints in pdf from other programs.

Have you tried to "reinstall" Raleway font on your Mac?
Remove it completely from all "Fonts" folders - User and System, remove it from Fonts folder inside AutoCAD application folder (if you copied it there), then put it to only one Fonts folder: preferably to ~/Library/Fonts folder.
And, again:
Can you show how it looks in Text Style window?

I think it has to do with the the font style "title block"... which is referencing Raleway.   Here is a screen shot.  no, i havent unistalled and reinstalled, cause raleway works with other programs.

Another question:
What if you create new drawing and place new lines of text the same way as they are in title block with text style, based on Raleway font in it?
Does it show the same problem with PDF?

Can you also attach problem title block and PDF file which shows the problem?

yup,  we tried starting a new drawing, using raleway... and on screen it looks fine.  Pdf did not print the same.

We were able to get it to at least print some text vs jumbled letters, but the font is not reading as raleway bold... it always looks just plain raleway.   This screen shot of the fonts download is interesting.   I go to the Raleway Bold, hit install, close the window.  I open the font back up, and it still says that it is not installed.

and now that autocad closed down and reopened... the pdfs created are back to showing jumbled text vs a real font.  so what ever progress i made, is now gone.

when i open the pdf created in adobe editor... i can highlight the text and see that it is reading as Raleway.

Autodesk has my files.. and it works on their computers.. .so it is something specifically with my machine, and my coworkers machines.

thanks

Why you cannot attach problem title block and PDF file which shows the problem here?
Is it possible for you?

So,   after several days of inquires and trying to figure this thing out, here is the update.   It has to do with something in the pdf maker in Autocad.   I also took out all of the Raleway fonts, and only reinstalled Bold, italic bold, italic, regular.  I tried printing several ways.   Save to pdf, dwg to pdf plot, and previewing the drawing and saving the preview.    Saving the preview was the only one that kept the font properties.   I am about to get into the drawings again now, to see if that still is the case.   It is not title block drawing specific.

UPDATE:

For anyone following this thread- here is the latest from Autodesk.

The development team has confirmed that an issue occurred with the AutoCAD LT installed PDF driver which includes both the "DWG to PDF.PC3" family of drivers as well as the option to "Save as PDF".
Since the Print Preview print to PDF relies on the macOS Quartz PDF technology, printing the Preview to a PDF is not affected.
At this time the development team has determined what the problem is with the AutoCAD LT generated PDF output, and are investigating the root cause so that a fix can be made available.
