Printing to 1:1 scale incorrect dimensions

Printing to 1:1 scale incorrect dimensions

Hi,

I have an issue with the 1:1 scale printing at the wrong size. The drawing is a simple 2D that I print and use as a 1:1 paper template.

The first time I printed it the scale was correct, but the second time I printed (using the same print setting) the dimension were incorrect (out by about 5mm) and now every new drawing I print has the same problem! I have tried printing from both model and layout with changes to the page set up, but I can't seem to fix the problem.

I have attached a screenshot of the page set up and print setting. If anyone could help me fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Simon.

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi Simon,

Could it be printer settings (or printer hardware) case?

You wrote the dimensions are "out by about 5mm". What do you mean?

Does everything on paper increased (reduced) by 5 mm?

HI @Anonymous,

I'm sorry that you are having this printing error.  What happens if you print to a PDF? Does it measure properly?

Can you share a drawing file with a page setup applied?  I would like to see if I can help you get this resolved.

Thank you for everyone's posts.

It seems to be a bug in the software, but I have worked around it.

If I reset AutoCAD then open and print the file the dimensions are correct. If I try to print it again without resetting the dimension with be incorrect again.

So resetting and printing the file fixes the problem, but only for the first print.

I happy with the results, it just takes more time to do.

Thanks again, Simon.

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you share your file so I can get a better idea of what is going on?  You shouldn't have to reset anything between prints.
