Printing custom sizes problem

Hello,

In my line of work I regularly need to print A0-size or lager drawings.

When I use Autocad for Windows I do the following:

The height of the drawings is usually always to same so when creating a custom paper size I set that at 841mm.

The width of the drawings is different with each drawing so in the custom paper size I set that at 2500mm, so I have a custom paper size of 841x2500mm.

That way I can adjust the width of my viewport to suit my needs and I don't have to create a different paper size for each drawing that is lager than the A0 standard of 841x1189, and I can set it so that the printer automatically cuts of the excess white space of the custom size.

(For example: I have a drawing of 841x1500. I select the custom paper size of 841x2500, and the printer automatically cuts of the excess 1000mm so I don't end up with a 2500mm long paper with 1000mm of excess white space).

Now, when I try the same workflow in Autocad for Mac I run into a problem.

No matter what settings I use, the printer always prints out the excess white space of the drawing, so I always end up with 2500mm papers with excess white space. Both when printing and when creating a pdf.

Does someone have any advice how to fix this? Can you set Mac so when printing the printer cuts of the white space?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I'm afraid it is Printer Software (for Mac) fault, not AutoCAD.
Maybe you can adjust cutting settings in the Printer settings (macOS Preferences -> Print and Scan pane).
