Plots in color despite monochrome being selected

I cannot get this file to plot to monochrome.  It plots to color every time when I print to PDF. I'm attaching the Autocad file and a PDF.

I am working with the Leasing CTR Furniture Plan tab.

Plot Style Table is set to monochrome.

Print with Plot Styles is selected

I am printing to Autocad PDF (general documentation).

Thank you.

nothing is attached.

Is the plot style you use CTB or STB? they are applied differently to the objects, and CTB does not work on colors of objects that are not strictly ACI 1-255 colors.

Files should now be posted. Not sure why they didn't show up before.

It's set to monochrome.ctb

Files should be posted now.

Hi Christine,

As Dean already wrote here:
"CTB does not work on colors of objects that are not strictly ACI 1-255 colors."
Layers in the drawing have color beyond ACI 1-255 colors - True colors, for example A-CASEWORK-NEW layer has color:2018-12-03_23-24-26.png

But should be assigned from here:2018-12-03_23-33-29.png

Ok. So the question is how do I fix this? I've gone through and changed all the layer colors to white from the Index Color palette. But I still cannot print in monochrome.  Layers that show as white onscreen and that are set to white are printing colored.

Would I be best off copying the drawings into one of my own templates and starting fresh?  I do not need all the layers created by the document authors.

Thank you for your help!

White is ACI (Index) COLOR number 7, not whatever you see on screen that looks "white": show us this DWG file that you say you changed to color 7 that still plots in color with the MONOCHROME.CTB file please.

But I see that PDF you attached is Black & White and I can print from DWG you attached in B&W.
So what is the question then?

The only thing in color in your DWG and PDF files is the JPG logo, AutoCAD plot styles do no work on those, if you want B/W/Gray logo you need to replace it with one already that way.

Your DWG file and your PDF are otherwise color-free: is your physical printer / plotter in need of new/replacement cartridges?

Bizarre. Yesterday the PDFs were showing up in color.  Now they are black and white.
