Plot styles

I am trying to have my paperspace layouts in black and white for plotting and exporting as PDF. Ive tried editing my page set up. In the plot style table I have selected monochrome.stb, autodeck-MONO.stb, and others. When I select monochrome.ctb it says monochrome.ctb (missing) in the name. When I select the ones that don't say missing I select display plot styles option, select ok. Ive tried to set current before closing the page setup manager. Nothing ever changes. My PDFs come out in color. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for your time,

Adam

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi Adam,

If monochrome.ctb listed as missing in the Plot Style table dropdown in the Page Setup Edit window, than it appears it was deleted for some reason from the "Plot Styles" folder. Tho check this - use "Reveal in Finder" menu to open "Plot Styles" folder in finder.

If it is really missing, you can try to reset AutoCAD settings using menu "AutoCAD" -> "Reset AutoCAD". This should reset all settings to default and restore original plot style table files, including monochrome.ctb

Hi adamsnodgress

and welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I have attached a copy of my monochrome CTB if you want to drop it in your plot styles folder. Alternatively, it is easy to create a new one. In the Plot Styles, click on new. Select all the colors on the left and assign them to Black on the right hand side
