Plot Styles problem in Autocad for MAC 2025

I have a problem with Autocad for mac 2025 Educational. I created a Plot Style with black assigned to several colors with different widths. But when I print the objects appear in their original color, not black. Why is that?

@a_ponstabernero

Did you create a CTB or STB plot style table?
Is your DWG file set to use CTB or STB plot style tables? It cannot do both.

Did you remember to check the box to use your plot style table on your PLOT command menu? What other choices did you select, and what did the little preview window show

Hi, thanks for the answer. It's a ctb file, I created it new for this version but I'm trying to print from an old dwg file. Yes, I checked the box and have all the other option apparently fine... How do I check this that you're saying "Is your DWG file set to use CTB or STB plot style tables? It cannot do both."?

Thanks again.

Hi @a_ponstabernero ,

Can you share one of your drawings with this problem along with CTB file?

You can create an archive with ETRANSMIT command.

Are all the objects or if objects are color bylayer, assigned to a color from 1 to 255 or are they using True Color values like 98,46,209? If True Color values, the ctb files cannot control these. But instead the pdf print out will show those True Colors.

The objects have colors from Autocad palet 1 to 255. In fact, they are all ONLY between 1 to 7. 😅

As @maxim_k replied, could you share your dwg along with the ctb file (compressed in zip format) for us to test?

Your screen shot from previous post of andreu 2.ctb shows for example Color 1 as Black:

But the zip file you shared contains a different file called andreu.ctb which shows using same Color 1 as "Use object color" and not "Black"

Now if I select AutoCAD's built-in monochrome.ctb which has everything printed Black including Color 1 then the pdf output will only be black (see attached pdf):

So try selecting the correct andreu 2.ctb pen style table file for plotting and see if this resolves your problem.

Yes, that's because I couldn't find "andreu 2" in the browser, but "andreu" was the same. Anyway, I tried monochrome.ctb changing widths and it works! Thanks for all the help, guys!
