Hello,

I am trying to install AutoCAD LT 2013 on a 2023 MacBook Pro with M3 max chip.

This autocad is the version my dad is used to and what he is comfortable with. Also, he has a perpetual license to it so he doesn't have to purchase every year and we really wants to continue using this license.

I used an external harddrive and Time Machine to perform a backup from his old MacBook and when I plugged it into the new computer everything seemed perfect. Everything transferred over correctly and looks just how it is supposed to. The only issue is his AutoCAD LT 2013 won't open. The app is there and all of his saved drawings are there, but the app won't open. The application was bought in the apple App Store back in December of 2012, I'm not sure if that matters or not. The app is in the tool bar but it just bounces until it eventually says the app is not responding.

I have installed Rosetta since this Mac is running on silicon and autocad is intel. Still no luck. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalled a few times as well and nothing seems to be working.

Any ideas?

Thank you for any help!!

I also tried to open terminal and get to the Flexnet files as I had read on another thread, but it says "no such file or directory"

Hi @skylarmcadamsFR8V7 ,

The last update to AutoCAD LT 2013 was released 11 years ago and it will not work on MacBook Pro with M3 chip under latest macOS Sonoma.

The last macOS version that supported it was Mac OS X Mountain Lion:
