Numpad not working

Hello everyone,

I searched this question on the forum before, but no solutions were fit for my problem.

I am working in AutoCAD 2022.0 Product version S.52.M.35 (with student license) on a MacBook Pro 2023 with macOS Ventura 13.2.1.

Using a wireless Apple keyboard with numpad. (see picture)

When I start AutoCAD I can use the numpad to give dimensions, but after some time (could be 1 minute but also 1 hour), it does not use the numpad correctly. When I draw a line and give a dimension to it with the numpad it quits the command so I need to press shift and use the numbers upon my letters. The reason why I use the numpad is that it takes too long on with the shift method...

You can see a video of it as a screen recording as well with first the Numpad and then the shift method. It happens n all the drawings even in a new file.

I hope some of you might know a solution.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Oliver,

@olivier_vdpt

Have you installed >>>>this<<<< Update to AutoCAD 2022 for Mac?

You need to use Check for Updates from AutoCAD menu or download this Update from your Autodesk account.

Hi @maxim_k

Yes, I always download the updates on the screen when I open AutoCAD, but this one was not installed yet. Anyway, the problem still occurs after some time now again, so no solution to the problem, sadly enough...

Sorry, I didn't quite understand from your answer - did you install the latest update?

Hi @maxim_k

Yes, all updates are installed, also the one you mentioned in previous post.

I had to restart AutoCAD after installing and then it worked again for half an hour and suddenly once it stopped and I had the same problem as before as shown in the screenrecording.

Hi @olivier_vdpt ,

Does it continue to work in other applications after it stops working in AutoCAD?

You are using AZERTY keyboard. Some time ago on the forum there were complaints about problems with AZERTY keyboard in AutoCAD 2024 on macOS Ventura.

Maybe you are seeing something similar to a bug....

Hi @maxim_k

Thank you for your help, I'll wait for any updates that it maybe is indeed a bug that need to be fixed.
