taking cad courses at school. im using 2009 for PC and i can make isocircles just fine, but i cant figure it out on 2011 for mac.  I have the snap mode settings with adaptive grid turned on and isometric snap turned on as well, Polar tracking set to 30.  when i hit the ellipse key it is suppose to give me the option of ar/center/isocircle but i nevere get that.  If i expand the command line i can see that "_c" is being automatically entered for my choice. it immediately wants me to specify center of ellipse. as u can see in the pic. this is very frustrating. plz help.

Are you able to use the backspace key over the c and type I instead?

Sorry, I didn't realize there was a for Mac forum untill this morning. And no I can not backspace the "c" . As soon as the Ellipse button is pushed the _c is entered and it goes the specify center point prompt. This means I also can not choose arc.

Does the MAC version allow you to type the command ELLIPSE instead of clicking a button? It might have to have a hyphen in front or something. Can you type EL for a shortcut?

If you choose the "Axis, End" option from the Ellipse drop-down you'll be able to enter "I" for Isocircle. (It works the same way in AutoCAD on Windows -- the "center" ellipse option overrides the isocircle there too.)

thanks everyone, typing ellipse as well as "EL"  worked. holding a click on the ellipse button activates the ellipse drop down where as said axis, end can be selected.  This works as well and will probably be my method of choice.  thanks again everyone.
