No block thumbnails in LT MAC

Hi. My block thumbnails do not display in the block gallery; every block uses the same standard icon. I recently updated to 2023, but the problem occurred before then as well. I have been unable to find an applicable command, Mac setting, or advice. I'm terrible at renaming blocks when I import them, so it's crazy-making! Please help. Thank you in advance.

Hi @joge2468 ,

In my practice, this happens if the block does not contain any objects.

Can you share one of your drawings with tis issue?

I don't think it's an object issue since it's a problem with every single block in my library -- all of which used to display their thumbnails just fine. Could it be a setting? A wrong path to the thumbnails somewhere? Thanks again.

Hi @joge2468 ,

I thought you are talking about blocks inside drawing , but you mean block library.

Thumbnails for block library generated automatically when you add drawing to the block library. They are stored inside special folder with ".blocksMetadata" name alongside with library drawing file. Thumbnails are PNG files.

It is hidden system folder. Try to delete it and AutoCAD should recreate it again.
