Needing to constantly use REGEN command even when REGENAUTO is turned on.

The title pretty much says it all. 

I am working some some very simple 2D line drawings and I find myself constantly needing to hit 'REGEN' when zooming in to adjust details.  All of my circular and curved shapes become extremely faceted after zooming out and then back in.  These drawings are super simple and super small, I would be shocked if it was the file size. 

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I am using a 2019 Macbook Pro (with standard 8gb ram).

Run the VIEWRES command. Answer "Y" to the first question (which is "do you want fast zooms?")

Also, check the WHIPARC sysvar

Thanks.  My settings were already set to 'Y', however it also gave me the ability to adjust the 'zoom percent' (not sure that means).  It has a range of 1 to 20,000.   When setting it to 1, the problem got waaaay worse.  When setting it to 20,000 the issue was better, although not fully resolved.  It will have to do for now.  Thanks again.
