My job stopped cause of this issue

I was creating complex architectural object in AutoCAD on my MacBook Pro yesterday noon. Today I've finished it only couple of hours ago. But when I opened it again to check all the details, app viewed me a message - DWG file hangs or crashes AutoCAD. I tried to recover dwg via Google and some solution that I found there, but no one of it didn't handle my issue even on a half.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Lilian,

Can you find backup copy of the problem drawing? It should be in the same folder as main drawing, have the same name, but extension should be BAK (not DWG).
Rename backup copy and change extension to DWG, then try to open it.
You may also try to find autosave copy of the drawing in question, it could be in the
/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Documents/Autodesk/Autosave
folder (YOUR_USER_NAME is your user name on Mac)

If a file cannot be opened, take the following steps, I hope it works under Mac OS

But sometimes even such detailed guides can't solve an issue, that's why for any reserve way you may see and learn following resources....

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCA... - helpful article

https://download.cnet.com/Recuva/3000-2242_4-10753287.html - leading software, but I don't remember about its supporting of Macs

https://onlinefilerepair.com/en/autocad-repair-online.html - created for any OS, direct upload crashed .dwg to special envinronment

  • RECOVER command
    --Recovers a selected drawing file
--If successful, open and run AUDIT command
--Evaluates drawing integrity and possibly more error correction
--Set system variable AUDITCTL=1 to create a report of audit results
  • RECOVERALL command (introduced in AutoCAD 2008)
    --Recovers a selected drawing file
--Attached and nested xrefs are also opened, repaired, resaved, and closed
  • INSERT and EXPLODE
  • Start a new DWG with no template
--Run INSERT and selected the corrupted drawing
    --Check the “Explode” option
