MTEXT Editor 2018 LT vs. 2015 Down-Graded?

Recently upgraded from ACAD LT 2015 for Mac to 2018 LT. MTEXT editor all of a sudden is missing SO many features. I cannot fiddle with the spacing, size, character distances, text alignments other than basic, basic commands, etc. in the same way as I used to! It is far less sophisticated at editing text and that is a BIG problem for me. Is there a setting I can change to revert to the earlier MTEXT editor functions? Because I need the more hands-on controls for text not this basic nonsense they seem to have down-graded to for the newer version! HELP!

Hi Elisabeth,

On my side MTEXT editor functionality in 2018 version is the same as in 2015:

In AutoCAD for Mac most of the MTEXT properties can be changed with Properties palette.

Ensure that you have "All" section for MTEXT properties enabled in the Properties palette.

Hi Maxim,

Thank you for the reply! However, I'm inserting some photos for you to see the difference between what I see with my ACAD 2015 LT and the 2018 LT. They are definitely not the same. I'm just not sure if this is a down-grade to the LT version for MAC, or if I have to change some type of setting?

Below is ACAD 2015 LT Properties palette in the Mtext editor:

In this version I have access to the Properties palette 'All' and can control Oblique, Tracking, Width, Justification, etc. for each word/line if need be.

But, below is what happens if I open the MTEXT editor within the ACAD 2018 LT:

I cannot access the 'All' tab in properties anymore. It becomes disabled. AutoCAD won't allow me to switch between the tabs and I get only this limited selection of options for editing the text. If I single-click on the the text without opening the MTEXT editor it allows me to access 'All' in the Properties palette. This allows me to change the justification, however I still don't have access to Oblique, Tracking, Width, etc. features of the 2015 LT editor and anything I do has to be done to the whole piece of text.

Is there are any to change access to the 'all' tab with the MTEXT editor open? Is it a setting? Or is this not possible in the LT version I am running? Any information is helpful here, thank you, I appreciate any feedback.

I cannot test the issue in LT version for now, will try tomorrow. In the full version everything is OK with MTEXT editor.
Do you have the issue only in one drawing or in all of your drawings, including new?

If you are sure you cannot enable "All" properties for MTEXT:
Have you tried to restart AutoCAD? Restart your Mac?
Reset AutoCAD?

I tested AutoCAD LT and everything is OK with Properties palette:

I'm able to switch to "all" tab and edit MTEXT properties.
