LT problems with unsupported objects and unresolved references

LT problems with unsupported objects and unresolved references

I just tried Autocad LT 2015 for mac, no problems. Then when I tried the 2016 version I get problems with "unsupported objects" and unresolved references" plus I get a bunch of strange lines when I open an existing drawing.

Please advise.

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

>>>>I get problems with "unsupported objects"

If you mean you get an alert from AutoCAD  about "unsupported objects" when you are trying to open drawings, than probably in 2015 version, you simply disable this notification, but "unsupported objects" were always in the drawings.

>>>>"unresolved references"

Looks like you have the issue similar to this:

>>>> I get a bunch of strange lines when I open an existing drawing

Try to set system vatiable LINESMOOTHING to OFF:
At the command prompt type LINESMOOTHING and hit Return, than select OFF option. Restart AutoCAD.
Now test your drawings.

Maxim,

Thanks for your help, linesmoothing worked great! None of these issues never seemed to come up in 2015 so that seems a little odd to me. However, I see your logic regarding unsupported objects. I'm still trying to understand the impact of unresolved references.

Thanks again,

Kirk
