LT 2017 for mac - Problems with mouse

Hi

I have recently installed AutoCAD LT 2017 for Mac and am experiencing a problem that I have never had with any previous version.

I use a wireless mouse and when i try and click on command icons, it is very temperamental. Especially when I select part of the drawing I want to manipulate and then press the icon required.  It is odd because sometimes it works and sometimes not. It is not an issue with the hardware.  It is definitely an issue with the Software alone.

Any idea how this can be solved?

Also  - Is there an department of AutoDesk where one can speak to someone about technical issues like this.  It seems that the only way to get any help is through forums like this.

Thanks

Neil

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for the info. Any chance you have a wired mouse to try? I would like to know if the problem persists. If so, I might be able to eliminate the wireless idea.

Hi @neillyditt,

Yes, Martin and I have been chatting this morning. Did he ask if you have a wired mouse you could try in lieu of the wireless one? It would be nice to know if that too has the problem or not.  It would be helpful to know if all wired devices behave properly.

Hi John,

I'm afraid I no longer own a USB wired mouse.

Hi @Anonymous,

Not to worry - I will test on my end but it is always helpful to add some ammunition to the mix :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

I am experiencing the same issue with my Wacom tablet Intuos Pro small.

Running Autocad 17 MAC on Sierra on a new 15inch MBP touchbar.

Adjusting the sensibility of the pen doesn't help and can't find any solution in the Autocad settings to solve this.

It is really annoying and slows down the drawing process big time.

Hopefully a solution comes quick as it seems the issue isn't new.

Best,

Arjan

Hi @Anonymous,

I too am waiting for a fix. I will reach out to the team to see if there is any update on the issue.

Thanks for your patience.

I am using a wired Logitech G502 mouse and having the same issue. Click a tool palette button and it *might* work. Sometimes no the first click, sometimes not even on the fifth click. I can immediately move to a different tool button and it *might* work as well. I must say, I get the problem mostly on custom panels - the default panels seem to do it less, but it does happen frequently - just not as frequently as custom panels.

I also cannot click quickly (in rapid succession) within the drawing window or the mouse click is not registered by the software. For instance, when using the fillet command, I have to purposely click the second click slowly or the software doesn't register the second click.

Definitely slowing down my drafting! Please, please help!

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Hi @TheDirtFarmer70,

It appears that the issue has been getting attention with the Dev team. I am not sure when a fix will be issued but it is definitely on the radar.

Thanks for your patience

Hi @Anonymous,

I am glad that the hotfix is working for you. I have it installed on my Mac but haven't had the chance to test it yet. Thanks for the feedback!
