Lost my useful white box multiple choice when using some commands

I have two issues which I can't seem to fix.

Dear Forum

1. I've updated to AutoCAD LT 2020 and now when I use, for example, Pedit and other commands with follow up choices I don't get get a white multiple choice box which was floating, instead I have just the old fashioned command line at the bottom which is in small text and not easy to see the choices. The also applies to the offset command, when I used to get a floating box for inputting the offset dimension now nothing just shows in the command line.

2. When I draw a line I used to get information about what angle it is being drawn at but now there's nothing.

Perhaps theres a setting in preferences which would fix these issues?

I hope you can help with these two queries.

Kind regards

George Gibson
