Lineweights not printing in AutoCAD LT 2016 for Mac

Lineweights not printing in AutoCAD LT 2016 for Mac

I have found this thread and I still cannot figure out how to print my PDFs with the lineweights I want.  I'm using a ctb table/plotstyle, with different lineweights for each color.  All my layers are set to lineweight default and viewport lineweight default.  I even have one line set at 1.4 mm, which I can see in model space, but it shows up very light in paper space or saved as a pdf.

I'm sure I'm missing something and I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks,

j

PS I tried uploading the ctb file and I cannot do it here, but basically the ctb has various colors (the ones I chose for various layers in my file) at different widths ranging from .13 to 1.4mm.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please attach a sample file(s) so I can take a look at how things are set up on your workstation. Please also send me your plot style table.

Hi John V.,

Here's the dwg file.  I cannot upload the ctb file via this interface, so I will try to email it to you directly.

Thanks for the help.

Hi @Anonymous, please put the ctb file in a zip file and then attach it

Hi Jean,

The line you mentioned in your initial post has lineweight assigned individually and its lineweight is 0.6 mm? plus it has color "by layer" and the Layer of the has "White" color or color #7.
But in CTB file you are using lineweight 0.25 mm assigned to the color #7, so the problem line is plotted with lineweight = 0.25 mm as assigned in CTB file.
If you will change color 7 lineweight in CTB file to "Use object lineweight", the line will be plotted with lineweight assigned to it "by layer" and will be 0.6 mm on paper.

Hi Maxim,

Thanks. I have a separate line (object not layer) under color 255, which I
believe is white, set at 1.4mm. But it reads very heavy in paper space,
but does not plot wide. What am I doing wrong here?

Update:  I made a new layer for my thick grade line and updated the ctb and corresponding layer lineweight and all is well and working now.  Thanks for your patience with newbies!
