Line weight won't change from mm to inches

I need to change the line weight from mm to inches, but it just won't change. It's for school and my teacher knows almost nothing about cad. I don't know why he teaches this class.

Things I've tried already

1. typing MEASURE into command and setting it to 0. It was already set to 0.
2. typing LWEIGHT into command and setting it to inches. doesn't seem to do anything.
3. typing UNITS into command and changing it to inches. still doesn't do anything.

I am running AutoCad Lt 2016 on Mac

Hi Kyle,

It is a bug in AutoCAD 2016 for Mac: if you change LWUNITS from mm to inches or from inches to mm, you need to restart AutoCAD in order to see desired units in Layers and Properties palettes.

You can change LWUNITS at the command prompt or in Lineweight Settings window (you showed it in your initial post)

Thank you so much! I tried closing it, but I forgot mac apps don't really close until you click quit, and it worked!

hello, you need to go to your AUTOCAD Settings command "options", tab "User Preferences", "Lineweight Settings..." & select inches.

Not sure if works in mac... Hope that Helps!!!

I have AUTOCAD 2023 and when I change units on line weight on plot style table editor it changes type on window but still displays line weights as mm after I hit okay. 

clicking on editselecting inches for units then I hit OK.go back to select a line weight and still displays in mm
