Does AutoCAD Mac have a layers filter tab? I cannot find any information on where to find this panel and every tutorial is on a windows version of AutoCAD.

I was just trying to learn how to use CAD some more. Seems odd that they wouldn't have the layer filters on Mac.

@emjkerns Nothing odd at all: the MAC variant is missing a handful of the WindowsOS variant's features, it's been that way since its inception, there are many online documents explaining the differences.

If you find these missing tools of a critical business need, then your AutoCAD for MAC paid subscription also gives you access to all the other variants of AutoCAD that run on Windows, so you'll have to do that on your MAC instead. here is how https://www.howtogeek.com/187359/5-ways-to-run-windows-software-on-a-mac/

Hi @emjkerns ,

>>>>Seems odd that they wouldn't have the layer filters on Mac.

You are wrong. AutoCAD for Mac has layer filters.

This is a question of terminology:

Layer Group in AutoCAD for Mac = Group filter in AutoCAD for Windows - you can add Layers to this group manually

Dynamic Group  in AutoCAD for Mac = Properties filter in AutoCAD for Windows - Layers are added to such a group automatically, based on certain criteria

On the other hand, you are absolutely right that there is no layers filter tab Mac. This is due to differences in the interface of the Layer Properties Manager on PC and on Mac.

I agree that viewing the contents of a Dynamic Layer Group is easier in AutoCAD for Windows than in AutoCAD for Mac, but in my opinion it's just a matter of habit.
