Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

AutoCAD for Mac available only in English and French languages.
There is no additional language packs for AutoCAD for Mac.

Maxim, can Autocad for Mac check spelling in spanish?

The help says "You can also specify the specific language dictionary that is used and customize and manage multiple custom spelling dictionaries".

How can we specify this? I can find any option.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

You can try to set Spanish spell checking by changing System variable DICTMAIN.
You need to set it to "esp" (without quotes.
Here is an example for command prompt input:

Command: DCTMAIN
Enter new value for DCTMAIN, or . for none <"enu">: esp
Command:

Now DUCTMAIN should be set to Spanish. Test it.
Not sure would it work or no, but you can try.

You can find the full list of settings for DICTMAIN here:

@Anonymous,

Maxim beat me to punch. Emoticono feliz

There is also this AKN article to add a dictionary, that I found this morning, that you could try, which I believe is the same steps Maxim mentioned.

Still waiting on some feedback from a colleague in APAC i'll get back to you all with any new updates.
