Inserting blocks

Hi there,

I’m having issues when importing blocks.

I am trying to insert a title block into my drawing and when I try to insert it the whole file comes in. It doesn’t let me just select the single title block that I’d like.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Natalie,

How do you insert Title block? Do you use INSERT command, or you are using Blocks (Content) palette?
And another question - what AutoCAD version you are using?

Hello,

I’m using the Mac 2020 version.

I have been trying to use the “Insert” command. I previously used a PC at school, but now that I’m at home taking classes I only have the Mac version, which is all new to me.

It could just be that I’m doing it wrong

When Title block is a separate block inside drawing you cannot insert it directly with INSERT command.
You can add the drawing with Title block to Block Libraries tab of Blocks palette. You just need add this drawing to library as "Drawing with multiple blocks":

Then you will be able to insert Title block directly from Blocks palette.
