Inserting a template

Inserting a template

I have been able to insert by using the insert command.  I saw a vidio about inserting a layout by clicking on status bar and opening the show drawings and lay out.  I then right click in an open area I get a dropdown that says new layout from template and I click on that.  Opens up templates and if I click on a pre drawn auto cad template file and open it, it shows up in the insert lay out box, click ok and it works.  When I try the same thing with my own created dwt file it does not show up in the insert lay out box.  I am thinking it is the way I set up my file.

Thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Just tested this on my side and I'm able to insert Layout from existing drawing file.
Could you attach your template here? I can try to figure out the case.

Maxim

If I understood you correctly, you cannot use INSERT command to deal with a DWT file.

Maxim,
I can not figure out how to send you my dwt file of the same thing. I tried inserting it as an dwt, dwg, block, wblock with no luck.
No problem using auto cads title blocks.

Thanks,
Greg

Compress it and attach as ZIP archive.
