Inserting a geographic marker from GIS file or map

Struggling to insert a geographic marker from GIS file or map.

Only articles I can find describe the Windows GUI and the "Insert Tab" and "Location Panel". Where is this in the Mac version?

There is no such functionality in AutoCAD for Mac.
