Insert Field from A Table Cell

I am looking to insert a field of text into my drawing that references a table within the drawing itself. I have tried to use the object>formula>cell as a field entry but when I try to select the right cell within the table I get a invalid field code error when I select choose on the field menu. Any ideas on how to reference table data throughout the drawing by using fields?

Hi Blake,

I'm afraid, it is impossible. AutoCAD fields functionality doesn't allow to get table cell contents other then numbers. You use Formula type for field, but formulas works only with numbers...

NOTE: AutoField for AutoCAD by CADIG will not work in AutoCAD for Mac
