I have been expending six months on this project in AutoCAD on my MacBook Pro. A week ago I fininshed my job. Almost whole of the week I checked up diverse details concerning my .dwg file. Yesterday at midday I opened .dwg and I noticed that all the details that I added, changed, it disappeared. I attempted looking for dwg recovery software for Mac, but I couldn't find any appropriate solution.

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD for Mac forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Can you please attach your file?

If your data needs to be private or confidential, please email it directly to me at john.vellek@autodesk.com and please include a link to this thread in your email.

I will see if the data is still in the file but perhaps has shifted.

Did you check a BAK file to see if the data is still there?

If a file cannot be opened, take the following steps. But you need to know that this method probably may not to work on Macs. But I would suggest you to try...

  • RECOVER command
    --Recovers a selected drawing file
--If successful, open and run AUDIT command
--Evaluates drawing integrity and possibly more error correction
--Set system variable AUDITCTL=1 to create a report of audit results
  • RECOVERALL command (introduced in AutoCAD 2008)
    --Recovers a selected drawing file
--Attached and nested xrefs are also opened, repaired, resaved, and closed
  • INSERT and EXPLODE
  • Start a new DWG with no template
--Run INSERT and selected the corrupted drawing
    --Check the “Explode” option

Reserve way might be following helpful and effective articles, tips, trick and etc. solutions in the following...

Hi @Anonymous,

You haven't yet returned to this thread.  Have you been able to recover the file? If not, I am happy to take a look.  Per chance, do you have Time Machine running regularly? You might have a saved version of your file from earlier from which to move forward.
