Hidden lines visible in viewport but will not export into a PDF

Hi,

I am quite new to AutoCAD. I am trying to export my drawing as a PDF so I can send it to someone.  Everything looks fine in Viewport - I can see everything okay and all looks good, however when I export my drawing as a PDF the hidden line types dissapear while all other line types remain fine.  I have tried to find the answer on other forums and youtube/ google etc and tried a bunch of different things but I cant figure out whats going wrong 😞

Hi Faye,

Check that hidden lines are on printable layer.
Can you also share your problem drawing and resulting PDF here? I can look at them.

Hi,

Not 100% sure how to you check if a layer is printable as I am new to the software.  These are the layer properties.... they all appear to have the same properties so I can't see anything obvious...

Yes, HIDDEN 2 has "Plot" property turned OFF. Here is screenshot of Layers palette in Model space:

If you don't see "Plot" property in the Layers palette - right-click on columns titles and check-mark "Plot" property:

I attached PDF which shows hidden lines correctly after I turned on "Plot" property for HIDDEN 2 layer.

Thanks so much!  I've been banging my head against the wall all morning trying to figure it out.  Couldn't see plot. Thanks again thats fixed!
