Anybody in the Vancouver Sechelt area? New help answering specific questions regarding AC 2024. Not complicated, just need to know how to communicate what is in the dwg. Example: Spline, Hatches, and Vertices etc. I do not need help learning cad as I'm just opening DXF files. Once the DXF files have been opened I need to understand the drawing parts. This is a paid project for someone in the 604 Vancouver Timezone...
Thank you..

Hi @lambwebdesign ,
You can use QSELECT command to find out information about type of the objects in a drawing:
1/ Select "Entire Drawing"
2/ Open "Object type" dropdown list
3/ You will see all object types in a drawing
You can use the LIST command and select an object on the screen and it'll report back what it is.
Hello,
I tried the QSelect command after selecting all.... I don't see anything other than the drawing fully selected. Is there supposed to be an information window somewhere? I've included a DXF file ... Can you show me what it should like in a screener?
Thanks
Though I'm opening this dxf file on my Windows AutoCAD, the process should be similar.
When I select most of the objects the Properties Palette tells me that they are SPLINES:
There are also 2 images which are not included:
The External References Palette shows me what these images are:
If you are the one who created this dxf file from a drawing(dwg) file that has those two images attached, then yes.
In order for another user to see everything in the dwg they'll need those two images unless you purposely don't want to include them.
I typically rely on AutoCAD's eTRANSMIT command to include all references like other dwgs as well as images, fonts, linetypes, plot styles used to compose the dwg:

..
Here is what I see:
There are only Splines and two missed raster images in this drawing.
