HELP! I can no longer plot in black and white only colour

Hello,

I am using AutoCAD 2014 on mac.

For some reason I can no longer plot in anything other than colour.

All my plotstyles have vanished from my plot style manager.

I have tried searching my computer for the ctb. files and they could not be found. I eventually found one that I custom made before, I added it to my plotstyles folder but even though it is there, with greyscale selected it will not produce a black and white drawing when I plot.

I tried making a new PLOTSTYLE selecting black as the only plot colour.  This will not produce a black and white drawing.

I went on to download the monochrome.ctb plot style from the internet, installed it, but this too will not  generate a black and white exported drawing.

I have spent hours trying to solve this and looking at multiple forums and cannot fix it.  ALL help would be HUGELY appreciated.

Hi,
If you were able to create plot style which produces black and white output, why not to use it?
You can try to reset AutoCAD in order to return back default plot styles.

I can set PLOTSTYLES to black and white but it doesn't work when i go to
plot and instead comes out as colour.

I have never reset before, what does it entail?

To reset your settings back to default would mean that you lose any custmization that you have done to your AutoCAD profile on the MAC OS. You can look to this article for step by step help.

Before doing that you could try creating a whole new user login on your MAC and try running AutoCAD there to see if you are able to replicate your issue in that new environment.

Thank you so much for this advice. I set up another user id to check and the resetting worked.  All the plot styles were there and I can now print drawings in Black and White again!

So grateful.
