Group command on Lt for Mac 2017 and general stability issues

Hi!

Has anyone noticed a problem with the GROUP command?

It used to be as simple as selection the command, then selecting the elements of the drawing you'd like to group together, then you could manipulate them as a 'group'. Using UNGROUP would then change it back.

Why now has the whole command become so complex and even after trying to name the group as suggested it still doesn't make it a group. The whole command seems to be have rendered completely useless, which obviously is a backward step!

Also, while i'm writing, I've been working on a Windows desktop recently in an Architects office, and the difference between Autocad Lt for Windows and my 2017 Mac Lt version is startling in terms of its stability and speed.  AutoCAD Lt for Mac seems notably slower and more glitchy than its Windows counterpart.  To the extent that I'm considering a change of software for Mac that is more reliable.

Anyone from Autodesk have any comment?

Hi Neil,

Set system variable PICKSTYLE=1 and you will be able to use group selection as usual.

Type PICKSTYLE, then hit Return, then type 1, then Return again.
