I am a student and i have tried to make my grid visible and am unable. If i change the color of my modelspace to white, the grid is visible. It is a class requirement to turn every assignment in with a black modelspace. I find myself working in white and changing it to submit. is there any way i can make the grid lines white?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @michaelsirolli ,

If you have full (not LT) AutoCAD for Mac version, you can use these AutoLISP expressions to set grid lines color to white:

(setenv "2D Model grid axis lines color" "16777215")
(setenv "2D Model grid major lines color" "16777215")
(setenv "2D Model grid minor lines color" "16777215")

Copy - paste these lines to AutoCAD command prompt and hit Return.

Use REGENALL command to see the effect

To restore default colours use these AutoLISP expressions:

(setenv "2D Model grid axis lines color" "6114631")
(setenv "2D Model grid major lines color" "6901577")
(setenv "2D Model grid minor lines color" "4732722")

@michaelsirolli

Select the code I posted, copy it to clipboard (Command +C), return to AutoCAD, put cursor to Command window, paste from clipboard (Command +V).

Hit Return key.

Use REGENALL command.
