Filetting curves

Hey guys,

still pretty new to AutoCAD, having a problem filleting the edge of a cylinder.

For some reason, I've tried to fillet both sides of the shape but an error occurs... No matter what radius i add, I cannot round both sides at once. The only thing that has succeeded is by rounding only one side of the shape, however when i try to round the other side, another error occurs.

I've attached a screeshot to help explain...

Any idea what this may be?

Hi,
Could you clarify which shape you want to fillet?
There are a lot of shapes on your screenshot.
And please attach your drawing to the post, I can look at it.

Thanks for the help, Maxim.

The shape I'm refering to is the shape on the left hand side with the top half being curved and the bottom half being flat.

I do not have a drawing, but the ears of this helmet embody the roundness I am trying to achieve.

I really appreciate the help! 🙂

Hi David,

Please look at this screen cast:

on my side everything works with fillet.

Filleting cylinder in AutoCAD 2014 for Mac
After you call FILLET command you need to select edge of the cylinder, than provide fillet radius, than select edge to fillet again, than hit Return.
