Fields formula for multiple areas

Hi,

I switched from AutoCad on Windows to the Mac version, and there is one feature that I fail to reproduce on this version that is very important to me.

On the Windows version, I was able through the Fields feature to select the area of an object (a polyline in my case), copy paste the Field Expression on the Formula section of Fields, then go back to select another polyline, copy paste the Field Expression etc... and at the end I could find the addition of all the surfaces. The problem is, on the Mac version nothing is clear at all. Each time I try to copy paste the Field Expression of a poly line on the Formula section, the previous Field Expression of the previous polyline disappears, and I can never add up one area to another. It is very helpful to me to be able to know the exact surface of an apartment and I have no idea how it works on the Mac version (and if it is available on it ?).

Thanks for your reply and your help! Does there is a way to push Autodesk to add it to their next version? it's a widely used feature and having to do this to be able to use it is kinda crazy...

Or go back to the Windows version and run it using Parallels on the Mac

Well this isn't optimal and Autodesk's job is to provide the same version on both systems without having to use tricks. Hope they're going to do something soon! 

I just saw a request for the Fields features on the AutoCAD for Mac Customer Council from 5 years ago, and still nothing about it since... not really encouraging

Actually there are a number of other features on the Windows version which do not appear on the Mac version. This is why I'm staying on Windows.

When I try this solution, it works at the beginning. But when I try to do another formula on another field, the previous formula appears in the Field Expression, making it impossible to write another formula. The only solution seems to close the program and reopen it, which is really annoying. Any solution?

Yes, AutoCAD for Mac allows to use >>>>this workaround<<<< only once in the current session. Looks like it is another bug, so the only one solution is to restart AutoCAD.
