Features missing and rectangle tool not dimension properly

I am very new to AutoCad and do not know how to describe my issue very well but I will try. I have lost the little dimension box/shortcut box that appears next to the cursor and I have no idea how to get it back. So now I have to type everything in the command bar which has given me issues. Ever since that little box has disappeared my rectangle tool will not draw the correct dimensions. I am trying to add doors to my floor plan and when I type 1.5,36 Enter it will give me a rectangle that is way off. I have tried to uninstall and reinstalled the software and it still won't work. My professor also does not know how to fix the problem, please help!

Hi @Livingbr ,

Looks like you turned off Dynamic Input.

You can toggle Dynamic Input with F12 (Fn+F12) key or with this button on the Status Bar:
