Even though my computer is up to date, AutoCAD for Mac keeps giving an error message every 3-5 minutes and shutting down unexpectedly. Sometimes it closes without having time to autosave.

Hi @qbradesign ,

Please specify your AutoCAD version and macOS installed on your Mac.

Do you have Autosave enabled in AutoCAD?

All versions are latest and updated. Also autosave is enabled.

@qbradesign ,

Where do you save your drawings?

Do you save them to the iCloud enabled folder on your Mac?

I think this could be the problem. Try working with files in a folder that is not synced with iCloud. Are you still seeing crashes?

No I don’t use cloud. I work and save on desktop folder. This problem started at 2025

So as a test if you install older versions like 2024 on your Mac would the problem go away?

Hi, downgrades require some extra work, but I am almost sure the upgrade to Sequoia ruined autocad on my laptop, I hadn’t had any problems on my laptop since November when I had bought it and just purchased autocad, I did the update a couple weeks ago and now the program crashes. So Autodesk needs to work on this. I have Ventura on my desktop and autocad doesn’t crash.

I definitely agree with this comment. This problem occurred after the Sequoia update. Autodesk should make a fix according to the latest macos update.
