Error finding path to ctb. file after editing it.

Please give me any help to solve the next problem.  After adding any small change to existing ctb. file, or creating new files,  "Error Finding Path" happens, although the edited or newly-created files are stored in the same folder as the original ctb. files are.....

As the attached image shows,  the left-side colors have gone.....     I am using student version of AutoCAD 2015 for MAC. Is it the reason?

Hi,

Has your Desktop folder (where you are trying to save CTB file) been added to the Plot Style Table Search path inside Printer Support File Path in the Application tab of the AutoCAD Preferences?

If no, than that explains everything. But in such case, I cannot understand how do you open such file in Plot Style Table editor?

Hi Maxim

Yes, I added my Desktop to Plot Style Table Search path, because I was trying many things to solve it...

saving in different places and changing the path, changing file names...  I tried on stb.files too and the same trouble happened.

Once changing something on stb. files, the path finding error occured too.

I was using 2014, so now I installed 2015 but the situation is the sameEmoticono triste

Could you please describe the tips to reproduce the issue:
- you open Plot Style table editor with CTB file (describe how)
- you change something in CTB file
Than .....
... Than
- finaly you see "Error finding path"

Hi.

I tried opening plot syle table editor in many ways, for example, through Fortmat on the top bar of Autocad, or through Page Setup,

And opened directly the plot style table editor 2015 from HD.

But the result is always the same....

In secound, what i changed in ctb. is for example  just line color.

After printing out my drawing, I fould that all lines have been printed by default colors,

then reopened ctb. which i used and found that error discription.

Hiro, so you are able to see CTB file in the list of avaliable plot style tables in Page Setup dialog, via Format -> Plot Style menu, in Properties Inspector, but when you open it you see the message "Error finding path"? And looks like AutoCAD cannot use this Plot Style table?
Are you able to use standard CTB files? I mean if you apply monochrome.ctb - does your plots became black and white instead of colored with acad.ctb?

Maxim

I can see all default ctb files(acad.ctb, monochrome.ctb. etc. ) and also new ones I made.

monochrome.ctb works properly untill I add any change.

Just some guesses:
- What is the default language in system preferences on your Mac? If it is not English, try to change it to English.
- Have you tried to launch AutoCAD in another user account on your Mac an test the issue?

Could you attach here one of the CTB files edited by you?

Thank you very much, Maxim.

Somehow problem has been solved.

First, according to your suggestion, I changed lauguage to English and restarted computer...........but no good result

Secound, created another user account on my computer and tried......got a success.

Third, back to my original account and tried plot style table editor.....Finally it worked successfully too!

Thank you again!
