Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Are you using custom paper size?
If yes, than try to delete this custom paper size and recreate it again.

Do you have any printer/plotters installed in macOS System preferences? If yes, have you tried to "Reset printing system"?

I've seen the suggestion, but in my mac I have no printers installed and do not have the font specified in the link.

What about Custom paper sizes? Are you trying to use one of them when AutoCAD crashes? Or you are trying to set some of the default paper sizes?

I tried both, but the program crashes even if I do not change any of 'edit page setting. that is, just open edit page and close it again ("ok" or "cancel") to crash the program

Try to create new user account on your Mac via Users pane of Mac OS System Preferences (it is for test only - you can later delete it).
Login to this new account, launch AutoCAD and try to use page setup. Does it crashes in this case?

same problem. 😞

I have not tried to edit page setup without any printer installed in System Preferences. In my case with printers installed I don't have such issue as you.
So you need to try to install printer software on your Mac.

If you are in trouble how to install printer software without hardware, here is an article from Autodesk Knowledge Base:

"To install a printer driver on Mac for which you don't actually have the physical device, follow these steps:

  1. Run the setup for the driver package you downloaded from HP (above).
  2. Open System Preferences.
  3. Click Printers & Scanners.
  4. Click the + sign in the lower left side of the dialog.
  5. Click IP (blue globe icon).
  6. In the Address field, type 127.0.0.1
  7. Select HP Jetdirect - Socket in the Protocol field.
  8. For the Use field (at the bottom) choose Select Software.
  9. From the list dialog, choose HP PageWide XL 8000 - PostScript.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click Add.
  12. A dialog will appear, stating 'Unable to verify the printer on your network'. Click Continue. (If the HP Utility appears, you can close it.)

In Printers & Scanners, you'll now have a printer called 127.0.0.1, which can be selected when you plot from AutoCAD. Selecting the device will give you access to its paper sizes, which can be used when saving as PDF."

Hi,

I am having the exact same problem and am on the same Mac software as you. Did you manage to get the problem resolved? If so, how?

Thanks

Which Mac model do you have?
