Drawing disappeared in 3D views

Drawing disappeared in 3D views

Hello,

I'm working on AutoCAD for Mac 2015, and I have a weird problem.

Since there's not Flatten command in this version, I've created it myself using the macro:

^C^C_UCS;;_move _all;;0,0,1e99;;_move _all;;0,0,-1e99;;;_chprop;_all;;_thickness;0;;

for Flatten All

and:

^C^C_UCS;;_select \_move _p;;0,0,1e99;;_move _p;;0,0,-1e99;;

for Flatten Select.

But after I use it on my drawing, the view from the front, left and right disappear, and I'm left only with the top view.

(I've added two screenshots).

Any idea what that means? Does it affect my drwing somehow? What should I do?

(The main problem is, I can't check if the Flatten command worked well or if there are still some objects that weren't flattened, like blocks of some kind.)

I tried restarting AutoCAD but it didn't help.

Thanks,

Noa.

Hi,
When you use these macros in the drawing, it became really flat. So it is nothing unusual that you can see objects only in the Top view, in other views you should see only one "line" which is in fact all of the flat objects in your drawing when you look at them perpendicular to the drawing plane (Front, Left and Right views). In order to see this "line" after you execute the macro you have to call ZOOM command with Extents option.
As about objects inside blocks - it is better to explode blocks before using the macro or to use the macro inside block editor with non flat block loaded into it.

Hi,

That's what I did - I used the Zoom Extants option to view my drawing in the Front view, but there's nothing, not even a line as there supposed to be.

This is what I get when I do the Zoom Extants in the Front view, as you can see, no line...

Could be that not all objects were flatten, so the line I mentioned is extremely small to see it in the drawing area. Because other objects are too far from the XY plane.
You need to find such objects and isolate them for additional flatten procedure.

How can I do that? When I run the Zoom Extants in the Top view, all I get on screen is the drawing, so how can I find te objects that are so far away? I tried marking the whole area in the Front view to try and catch what's at the edges, but there's nothing...

Are there any block insertions in the drawing? If yes- than try to explode them and than rerun flatten macro again.
