Dimbreak for annotation in paper space?

Hi I have some annotation leaders that are part of a dynamic block the problem i have is when this overlaps a dimention that is in model space.

While Dimbreak works for other dimentions in modelspace i cant find a way to create a gap in the dim to make the annotation more legible. 

Was thinking of using the CHSpaceto duplicate the leader so its in both paper and model space but this seems bit overkill and cause issues down the line if i need to adjust drawing / annotation. At the same time id rather not have the leader outside of the block. Is there a way to achive something similar to the dimbreak in paper space?

Have you tried "Manual" option un DIMBREAK command?

Or place dimensions on Paper space (Layout) instead of Model space?

I haven't had a problem doing this with a manual DIMBREAK.  Can you share a sample drawing with some dimensions and leaders so I can give it a try using your dimstyles?

Hi John & Maxim,

Thank you both, I've tried the Manual Dim break which is a great little feature didn't know we have 🙂 thanks for that. It does work as a work around. However was hoping there might be something that can be applied in the paper space over the model space? As we dimention everthing in model space and annotate in paper space. Ocasionally also have a leader that crosses over multiple dim lines, or a dimention that has multiple leaders crossing over it. (depending on the complexity of the space) 

As far as i can see the Manual Dim break only allows for a single break in the dim ? Would either of you know an option that would allow multiple breaks? or something that would work in the paper space instead?

Places a dimension break manually. You specify two points on the dimension or extension lines for the location of the break. Any dimension break that is created using this option is not updated if the dimension or intersecting objects are modified. You can only place a single manual dimension break at a time with this option.

Hi Tom,

I'm afraid you cannot force DIMBREAK automatically break dimensions that are in different spaces (Model and Paper), this functionality is not supported in AutoCAD.

you can read about dimension break exceptions:
"Automatic breaks are not supported for objects and dimensions or multileaders that are in different spaces. In order to break a dimension or multileader that is in a different space, you need to use the Manual option of the DIMBREAK command."

So the only one option to enable auto-break dimensions - put annotations in the same space as dimensions or put dimensions in the same space as annotations.

Hi @tom3CRH6,

I made a quick video that shows an Mleader in paperspace.  I select it and then use DIMBREAK with the manual option to add several breaks.  Is that what you are looking for?

This method also works on dimensions in paperspace.
