Hi There,
I need some help with importing my custom linetypes into AutoCAD for Mac 2017.
I previously predominately used AutoCAD for Windows and had created a bunch of custom lines using the Express Tool, Make Linetype (mkltype). These lines are complex using shapes. Most of the lines are for things like batt & rigid insulation.
When exporting my files from AutoCAD for Windows, I always use eTransmit to ensure all relevant support files are attached.
When I open the file in AutoCAD for Mac, It prompts me to 'specify missing .shx files'. I specify the files however when the drawing opens the custom lines are not there and are represented by dotted lines. I have tried placing the .shx files directly into the Support File Search Path folder, with the other .shx files but this doesn't seem to work either. Maybe I'm putting them in the wrong location?
Does AutoCAD for Mac 2017 support these types of Complex Custom Linetypes? I know the Make Linetype 'Express Tool' does not exist but does this mean the already created line types won't work? I seem to recall AutoCAD for Mac 2015 did not have this problem and my custom lines worked fine, however I might be miss remembering.
Please Help! This is killing my workflow.
Thanks,
Sven
