Cursor disappears in model space on Mac

I have been using AutoCAD LT 2021 on Mac OS Catalina for the last year or so and it worked fine. Tonight the cursor disappears whenever I click into model space. I tried many of solutions online, including upgrading to Mac OS Monterey and AutoCad LT 2022. But I still have the same problem.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you have this problem only in one drawing or in all drawings, including newly created?

Does it disappear inside viewport in Layout? Or it disappears in Model space Layout?

If the problem exists in all drawings - have you tried to change Graphics mode in AutoCAD Preferences?

Do the following:

  • Use Open GL graphics instead of Metal:
  1. Type OPTIONS into the command line and press Enter.
  2. In the dialog box, select the General tab.
  3. Under the category Graphics, change the graphics engine to "Open GL".
  4. Close and restart AutoCAD.

This problem occurs in all drawings (newly created and existing files) both model space and paper space. I also change the Graphic mode to Open GL Core Profile. It still does not work.

My setting in Graphics was OpenGL already. But I did try to change it to Metal and then, change back to Open GL. It still doesn't work.

I am using 2019 iMac. FYI, I was finally able to resolve it by replace my mouse. So this is more like a hardware issue. The mouse I was using for years all the sudden stop function properly. I connected a second mouse to my computer without unplug the first one until I tried to resolve this issue again about an hour ago. Thank you very much for trying to help me with this issue!!

Hi @margherita_alice ,

The thread you are posting on is quite old.

Can you describe your problem in more details? Including AutoCAD for Mac version, macOS version installed on your Mac, mouse model and your Mac model.
