Copying a group

Copying a group

First, I'm a newbie, I am trying to draw a polygon, fill it with color, group the polygon and the hatching, and copy the group across my drawing. If I use the copy icon, and click each place I want a group, I can quickly create all the groups I want, but they are connected by lines to one another and also a line from the first group and the last group to the origin.

If I cntl-C cntl-V copy them, then each one has a line to the origin.

What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Can you illustrate somehow the issue?
Maybe screenshots?

I don't think I am fully understanding what you are trying to explain. If possible could you make a screencast of your issue.

You can download the free application here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast

Once you've made your video feel free to post the link in a post in this thread.

Thanks.

I think I have discovered the problem. It's a bug in AutoCAD for Mac.

Lines suddenly appear and they cannot be selected, some are as though a point on the circle has been stretched, but when selected the circle appears intact. Switching to Layer1 and back seems to cause a redraw and the lines do not appear on the Paper view.

Sometimes this causes a redraw on the model view and sometimes it does not. :cara_de_decepción:

I have an inserted PDF layer in the drawing

Hi,

Now I understand your problem.
It is knowing problem for some kind of graphics cards.
Try to set system vatiable LINESMOOTHING to OFF:
At the command prompt type LINESMOOTHING and hit Return, than select OFF option. Restart AutoCAD.
Now test your drawings.

Maxim,

Linesmoothing seems to have corrected the problem. Thanks!
