Conversion of Shapefile to DXF scaling issue in AutoCAD 2016

I have a .dxf file that I converted from a .shp file in QGIS, and the proj4 string for the CRS was:

+proj=lcc +lat_1=42.7 +lat_2=42.72 +lat_0=41+ lon_0=-72 +x_0=200000 +y_0=750000 +ellps=GRS80 +towgs84=0,0,0,0,0,0 +units=m +no_defs

When I go to 'open' and upload the .dxf file into AutoCAD 2016, the building (the .shp file was of a building) shows up fine however it is scaled really small, so that instead of being ~200 feet on one side, it is only 100 something inches.

Anyone have any similar issues, I've tried changing the units to feet in AutoCAD, however this didn't change anything.

Thanks for the help.

Why not just SCALE it to the correct size/scale?

I could do that, I was thinking of measuring one of the edges of the building in Google Earth, then scaling in AutoCAD until the edges measures the same. I was just curious if there was a way to automatically scale it to the correct size when importing it.

The scaling error could be in the original SHP file, or the conversion method used in QGIS: hard to tell. But since all you have is the end result, scaling appears to be the only remedy at the moment.

Try to find a more accurate method to identify the dimensions needed.
