Hi,

Just loaded the free unregistered copy of Autodesk LT on a M1 2020 Mac Mini and yes it has the graphics problem.

Have updated the Mac to the latest version which installed Big Sur 11.1 but no good graphics are looking crap.

What is the 2021.1 version? If i'm not mistaken this free version is 2021.2 ?

Is there a version that operates under Rosetta 2 mode, which as I understand automatically operates the program to intel based operation.

Hello PaulMarsh8527,

Do not forget to do couple things, as mentioned before in this topic.

1. Change graphic settings to Open GL

2. Update the AutoCAD to latest version.

Purchased Mac Pro 13" with M1 Chip.  Autodesk spent over an hour on my computer trying to do a work around to get it to run AutoCAD for mac 2021.  They downloaded Rosetta 2-changed some of the code.  Program would not run.  I waited 6 weeks to build the MAC and now have to return.  Does anyone have any further information on this incompatibility issue ?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous,

What AutoCAD version do you use and what Mac model do you have.
If you are using AC 2021 on a Mac with M1 chip, then you just need to install the last update - AutoCAD for Mac 2021.1.1 HotFix. Use "Check for updates" from autoCAD menu.

Hello. Is it working only on Autocad or is it all Autodesk software; Revit, Sketchbook Pro, Bim 360, Maya, Fusion etc.

That's great news.

Do you have any idea on timescales for when this may get rolled out?

Hello,

You should read the topic with more attention.

The solution was written above.

1. Change graphic settings to Open GL

2. Update the AutoCAD to latest version.

I guess it is the luck of the draw on this one – my system appears to be running fine on the latest version even with the metal engine enabled yet others appear to be having a nightmare. Until they have a universal binary available there may be issues for anyone running it and probably best to stick to Intel if it is an important part of your workflow.
