Command Alias not working

Hi,

I have never had this problem, but since I renewed my Auto Cad LT subscription, I can not use keyboard commands to draw.  I need to select the command box with my mouse and type the word for every command.  I can click in the drawing to repeat the last command but if I need to do something else, I need to click back into the command box and write the new command.  Any idea how to fix this?  I've checked under Edit Command Aliases and all the commands are there, but I must be missing something that allows them to be used.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Does restarting your PC fix the problem?

And have you seen this (try solution #3 if #1 seems to be too much) https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/keyboa...

And if I may ask, what would paying Autodesk for a renewal have to do with your already-on-your-PC software changing? Was something else done on your PC with your LT software, or get new software?

Are your PICKFIRST and PICKADD variables set to the defaults listed in HELP in your LT version? Worth checking while you can too.

Let us know what happens.

I just tried solution #1 and #3 and it didn't work.

I am not sure what the subscription renewal would have to do with it, but that is the only thing that has changed so figured I should include it in case someone else had a similar problem.

Also, I am working on a Mac.

When I try to type a command with the keyboard, for example "L" to draw a line, the command box that usually appears near the cursor just flashes - I can't type anything it just appears for a second and then disappears.  My only option is to type a command in the main command box every time I need to do something.

"Are your PICKFIRST and PICKADD variables set to the defaults listed in HELP in your LT version?"

I am not familiar with this, what should the defaults be?

Should I try to uninstall and reinstall the software?

Now you tell us :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

What is the exact year version of your AutoCADLT for Mac, and what is your macOS version?

Hi @adizkohn,

Looks like you have macOS Ventura on your Mac, so you need to install latest Update to your AutoCAD LT.

You check for updates using menu AutoCAD -> Check for Updates or download Update from your Autodesk account.
