Closing a drawing crashes AutoCAD 2016 w/ update 4 on macOS Sierra

I've updated to the latest update 4 for AutoCAD 2016 for macOS and subsequently updated to Sierra.  I am now having an intermittent issue where if I have multiple draiwngs open and I close one of them via clicking the red 'X' on the window or pressing cmd W, the application will crash.

Anyone else having this problem or have a solution?

Hi,

Does this happens with all drawings? Even if you have only one or two newly created and saved drawings?
If yes, than you may have to reset AutoCAD. But keep in mind that you will loose all customizations you made in AutoCAD after resetting.

Are most of these drawings saved to a server? or are they saved locally?

Thanks for the replies.  This happens maybe 50-75% of the time, I'm working on drawings that were created before the upgrade to Sierra and application of Update 4.  The drawings are all stored locally on the hard drive and not on a server.

If a reset is my only option will probably wait for 2017 to come out.

Hey Steve,

If you want and are able to please go ahead a share your drawing. I'd like to see if I can recreate the same issue.

As an alternative before resetting, you could try logging as a separate user on your system and test AutoCAD in that environment. Post back should the issue still happen in a new user profile.

Thanks.
