Century Cothic font in Greek not working in AutoCAD2020 Mac

Hello! I just installed AutoCAD 2020 (student version) after working with the 2017 one. As I’m working on previous drawings I realized my texts appear as squares - a usual occurrence when writing in Greek fonts. I always use my trusted Century Gothic in Greek and it works fine in all of my other apps (photoshop, word, pages, etc). It used to work on AutoCAD 2017 after I installed the font. Now I’m trying to do the same in the 2020 version and it just won’t work. The English version of the font works fine but when I switch to Greek it’s squares again :cara_asombrada: Please help!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Athena,

Where did you get Century Gothic font you are using in AutoCAD and how did you install it?
I'm asking, because this font is not included in macOS as standard font.

Can you provide a sample of such text (screenshot)? Do you mean you see only squares instead of letters?

Hello!

You are right, Century Gothic in Greek is not included in the Font Book - I got it from a friend, I'm sure he must have gotten it online somewhere. I will attach some screenshots of my previous work and a new drawing. Every greek character is shown as an individual square and english characters, numbers, symbols work fine.

Where Century Gothic font is installed on your Mac?
In Font Book or inside AutoCAD application folder?
If it is in Font book, please attach screenshot with this font selected on "Info" page:

I've installed in both of the Font Book (I imagine that's the reason it works with the other apps) and the AutoCAD application folder (right click on AutoCAD app, Show package content, Resources and so on).Screenshot 2020-03-22 at 03.41.11.pngScreenshot 2020-03-22 at 03.36.44.png

Remove the font in question from AutoCAD application folder, restart AutoCAD and try to open drawings with Greek text.
If you will see squares again - share one of your drawings with text problem here.

Hi,

From your screen shot, it seems that the font is still missing TTF font.

Please follow the steps below for TTF FONT:

1. Find the ttf font. I download such a font from internet. Double click it and click 'Install Font' button in Font Book app.

2. Relaunch AutoCAD. Then you will find that font in your font list.
